Just a note (more like a dissertation) to my liberal friends:

The founders of the United States knew what would happen if the “popular” ideas won out. That is the basic premise of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. National government in this country was intentionally hamstrung to prevent majority overbearance. Yet ever since TR, and especially Wilson, FDR, LBJ, and BHO, the “Progessives” have systematically undermined the Constitution and every American’s right to self-determination. These are protected in the 9^th and 10^th amendments. Yet you conveniently forget that.  The T.E.A. Part that you so arrogantly call tea baggers and worse is a grass roots upheaval against FEDERAL overreach. You people think that the Feds should do everything and we believe that they should only step in when all else fails. HUGE difference.

 After Sandy I have watched the indoctrinated people of the Soviet Socialist State of New York cry, literally cry, because BIG Government doesn’t help them.  Read some history, like the Johnstown flood, the Dayton flood, and see what everyday people who live there do to help each other without BIG Government. Actually when BIG Government gets involved what happens; Katrina, Andrew, Hugo, the ice storm of 2009 in TN and KY BIG Government fails miserably.  As a matter of fact the Country Music family came to the rescue in 2009 and restored everyone so much quicker. Leave FEMA out of it, they do so much more harm than good. If FEMA was disbanded I wouldn’t miss it in the least. Natural disasters are LOCAL let the LOCALS manage the recovery. Resources from the state and federal government should be under local control, they know better what needs to go where.

That doesn’t touch what the Progressives have done to destroy our individual rights and liberties. Start with the 16^th amendment, and the 17^th amendment. With the creation of an income tax the Federal Government stepped into Totalarianism. It’s only gotten worse as time has gone on. The 17^th amendment ended the United States of America, since individual states had no more say in the federal government beyond the Electoral College for Presidential elections. Which BTW Progressives want to end also. Both need to be repealed as well as overturning the Federal Reserve Act. I say GO back to a Gold standard. Stop spending more than the nation can produce. Get real.

The U.S. Dollar is currently the reserve currency for the rest of the world. We have so abused its value with QE1, QE2, and now QE3, that the rest of the world wants out. There are some (including Treasury Secretary Geithner) in this country that would welcome that. Don’t you people realize the unmitigated disaster that would occur; I hope you have a big enough wheelbarrow to carry your cash so that you can go shopping for bread? We are talking hyper-inflation on the levels of the Weimar Republic.

I am near retiring and I have ZERO expectation of seeing any of the hundreds of thousands that I personally have paid into effen Social Security. They tell me every three months that I can expect $3000 a month for the rest of my life. REALLY? REALLY? Get real if I get $300 dollars a month I’ll be surprised. Besides after what I think will happen if the dollar is disenfranchised as the reserve currency it won’t matter. So if that happens, every American over the age of 30 has completely pissed away 15% of your hard earned wages on a system that is now officially out of money. You can expect nothing. EVER. I kid you not. What’s worse is that the 401K that I have been pouring money into is also going to be worthless. Well doesn’t that give you a nice warm fuzzy? Trust me bedlam will ensue once reality sets in.

We as a people still have the power in our hands to stop the insanity from happening. My liberal friends are however going to have to admit that the government can’t do everything. It costs too much; we can’t afford to impose proper morality on 310 Million people. Less Government in a BIG way is the only way to save this mess. More Government spending only dooms us all.

Schumer Must Go!!!!

All New Yorkers should be as outraged by Duke Schumer's latest outrage as I am. In my previous post I was impressed with the TEA Party Budget. Yet when Freedom Works was going to present the budget to Senator Lee (R Utah), Schumer pulled the plug on the meeting. Freedom Works put out this video:

NYers of all political persuasions should see this video so that they can see the ilk that they keep sending back to DC.

The TEA Party debt commission  (a group of 12 prominent TEA party activists) has worked for several months on a Federal budget proposal which they submitted to Congress today. The proposal is located here. It's basic premises are as follows:

•  “Cuts, caps, and balances” federal spending.

•  Balances the budget in four years, and keeps it balanced, without tax hikes.

•  Closes an historically large budget gap, equal to almost one-tenth of our economy.

•  Reduces federal spending by $9.7 trillion over the next 10 years, as opposed to the President’s plan to increase spending by $2.3 trillion.

•  Shrinks the federal government from 24 percent of GDP — a level exceeded only in World War II— to about 16 percent, in line with the postwar norm.

•  Stops the growth of the debt, and begins paying it down, with a goal of eliminating it within this generation.

To achieve these goals, our plan, among other things:

•  Repeals ObamaCare in toto.

•  Eliminates four Cabinet agencies — Energy, Education, Commerce, and HUD — and reduces or privatizes many others, including EPA, TSA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac.

•  Ends farm subsidies, government student loans, and foreign aid to countries that don’t support us — luxuries we can no longer afford.

•  Saves Social Security and greatly improves future benefits by shifting ownership and control from government to individuals, through new SMART Accounts.

•  Gives Medicare seniors the right to opt into the Congressional health care plan.

•  Suspends pension contributions and COLAs for Members of Congress, whenever the budget is in deficit.

 This is so common sense and , dare I say it American, that I know that no one in Congress will take the ball and run with it because they are all cowards.

"The Undefeated" no further arguments Necessary

I had the honor and privilege of viewing the rough cut of Stephen K. Bannon's movie about Sarah Palin titled "The Undefeated". To be frankly honest the movie didn't tell me anything that I didn't already know about her. With that said, there were a couple of times in the movie that brought me to tears. Knowing as I do, the viciousness of the media. Everyone in this country should see this movie, but realistically less than 5% will. Mr. Bannon will get a pretty good ROI but it won't get the traffic that it deserves because the media won't promote it to the general public. Actually they will attack it as untruthful. Which is in itself a lie, but why should the truth get in the way of their agenda. The problem is that this movie is intended for the general public. But I hope that I am horribly wrong and it takes off like it deserves.

The movie itself is crafted masterfully into 3 acts with a coda that's slightly longer than the first act(which implies that it's not a coda but a fourth act). The 1st act covers the birth of her political life. moving into her Governorship. The 2nd act covers her Governorship and the successes that she had. The 3rd act covers her as the VP nominee and the effect that it had on the moribund McCain Presidential run. The Coda is everything since which includes her speech in Madison in the snow while the SEIU thugs were trying to drown her out. Sarah was the T.E.A. party before there was a T.E.A. party. and this movie brings this out.

Please keep in mind that I am a rock hard Palin supporter and that I am trying to give an honest critique. The sound track was absolutely hideous, at points the "temp music" drowned out the dialog of the testimony during the interviews. Again, let me remind you that the content and message of the movie itself were "Pitch Perfect". Dear God I hope that he fixes the sound bed for the main release, because it was a MAJOR distraction. However not for one instant did the movie "drag on", it moved to it's natural conclusion (today) which leaves Mrs. Palin deciding whether or not to run for the Presidency. It covered her endless battle against the Republican establishment, from the get go in her career to her current existence as the President's cranial resident. The bottom line is this is a great documentary and the message is not so much pro-Palin as it is pro-America.

In summary, go see the movie this summer it is an absolutely feel good movie for America.

The U.S. Constitution is not a living document!

Now I know that the title of this blog could possibly raise some hackles, but give me a chance to explain.

Something that is alive will eventually die. No doubt about it.

I prefer to think of our Constitution as an IMMORTAL document that can never die. After 224 years I think that we can stop calling it an "experiment". What needs to be done however is to remove the progressive barnacles ; the 16th, 17th, and 26th amendments, the Federal Reserve Act and a few more from the New Deal and Great Society hoodwinks, and re-state the bounds of the 14th amendment to put an end to illegal birthright citizenship. We need to refocus the federal government back to its constitutionally restricted form instead of the economically crippling leviathan that is Washington DC now. This is not going to happen overnight nor is it going to be painless but it MUST be done or this great nation will be remembered centuries from now as another failed empire, along with Greece, Rome, Spain, and England.

Our Founding Fathers NEVER intended us to become an Empire. We are not the arbiters of what is right and wrong in the world. We are not the world's policeman. We MUST lead by EXAMPLE, and be that "Shining City on the hill", and STOP telling other countries what do do. It is pure hypocrisy to even try when our prisons are overflowing because of liberty infringing drug laws, WIDE open borders,and  poverty inflicted on generations of Americans dependent on Federal handouts. We've got Local, State, and the Federal governments all going bankrupt. Laws being passed daily that contradict existing laws, and yet our elected officials just don't get it. WE DON'T WANT OR NEED YOU TO GOVERN OUR LIVES (besides I like Happy Meals), just govern the communities as you are supposed to do within the legal bounds of your respective charters. Thanks to the T.E.A. party movement there is a light at the end of the long dark tunnel of progressive rule, we can only hope that it is not too late and the light we see isn't an oncoming freight train.

Why only the Democrats are proud about the budget deal

President Obama: "This agreement between Democrats and Republicans on behalf of all Americans is on a budget that invests in our future while making the largest annual spending cut in our history."
Senate Majority Leader Reid: "This is historic what we've done,"

Compare that to House Speaker Boehner: "This is the best deal we could get out of them."

Are You EFF-EN Kidding Me? Obama's 2011 budget, which the Democrats just couldn't find the time to pass last year has a $1.6 TRILLION deficit. So the best deal that we could get is less than a 1% reduction in spending.
Sarah Palin has it right: "GOP: don’t retreat! The country is going broke. We can’t AFFORD cowboy poetry & subsidizing abortion."
So does Michelle Bachman: "Don’t get me wrong, cuts in spending are a move in the right direction. House Republicans have brought about a change from the spending binge of the last two years. But it’s time to face the facts. This is the “small ball” battle that House leadership has chosen to engage. The current battle has devolved to an agenda that is almost too limited to warrant the kind of fighting that we’re now seeing in Washington."

To put this in perspective, the Federal deficit increased $54.1Billion in the 8 days preceding the budget deal which only cut $38.5 Billion in spending for the NEXT 6 MONTHS.

This just can't go on, it has to stop!
