Enough Already
I am a conservative. I was raised as a
Roosevelt Democrat by my parents. I was a registered Democrat until
1980. Then I was a registered Independent. In 1996 I registered as a
Republican for the first time. Yet I still voted my conscience as I have
ever since. I will never vote for a "Progressive" because all they want
is a "Regressive Society". I am so disappointed that America has
conciously drifted this far off course. I
Pray that we will as a society wake up and stop the insane raping of
the productive people in this country to give to the "Deadbeats". Enough
is enough. It is time to elect principled representatives who actually
do what they were elected to do. In my opinion Presidents Roosevelt,
Wilson, Roosevelt, Johnson, and Obama should go to HELL and burn in the
fire and brimstone that the old time Baptist ministers preached about.
They have destroyed this magnificent country for what Ceasar called
"Bread and Circuses". We can do better. If we don't we will go down like
the rest of the nations that were destroyed from within.

The New AmeriKa
Just a note (more like a dissertation) to my liberal friends:
The founders of the United States knew what would happen if
the “popular” ideas won out. That is the basic premise of the Constitution and
the Bill of Rights. National government in this country was intentionally
hamstrung to prevent majority overbearance. Yet ever since TR, and especially
Wilson, FDR, LBJ, and BHO, the “Progessives” have systematically undermined the
Constitution and every American’s right to self-determination. These are
protected in the 9th and 10th amendments. Yet you conveniently
forget that. The T.E.A. Part that you so
arrogantly call tea baggers and worse is a grass roots upheaval against FEDERAL
overreach. You people think that the Feds should do everything and we believe
that they should only step in when all else fails. HUGE difference.
After Sandy I have
watched the indoctrinated people of the Soviet Socialist State of New York cry,
literally cry, because BIG Government doesn’t help them. Read some history, like the Johnstown flood,
the Dayton flood, and see what everyday people who live there do to help each
other without BIG Government. Actually when BIG Government gets involved what
happens; Katrina, Andrew, Hugo, the ice storm of 2009 in TN and KY BIG
Government fails miserably. As a matter of
fact the Country Music family came to the rescue in 2009 and restored everyone
so much quicker. Leave FEMA out of it, they do so much more harm than good. If
FEMA was disbanded I wouldn’t miss it in the least. Natural disasters are LOCAL
let the LOCALS manage the recovery. Resources from the state and federal
government should be under local control, they know better what needs to go
where.
That doesn’t touch what the Progressives have done to
destroy our individual rights and liberties. Start with the 16th
amendment, and the 17th amendment. With the creation of an income
tax the Federal Government stepped into Totalarianism. It’s only gotten worse
as time has gone on. The 17th amendment ended the United States of
America, since individual states had no more say in the federal government
beyond the Electoral College for Presidential elections. Which BTW Progressives
want to end also. Both need to be repealed as well as overturning the Federal
Reserve Act. I say GO back to a Gold standard. Stop spending more than the
nation can produce. Get real.
The U.S. Dollar is currently the reserve currency for the
rest of the world. We have so abused its value with QE1, QE2, and now QE3, that
the rest of the world wants out. There are some (including Treasury Secretary Geithner)
in this country that would welcome that. Don’t you people realize the unmitigated
disaster that would occur; I hope you have a big enough wheelbarrow to carry
your cash so that you can go shopping for bread? We are talking hyper-inflation
on the levels of the Weimar Republic.
I am near retiring and I have ZERO expectation of seeing any
of the hundreds of thousands that I personally have paid into effen Social
Security. They tell me every three months that I can expect $3000 a month for
the rest of my life. REALLY? REALLY? Get real if I get $300 dollars a month I’ll
be surprised. Besides after what I think will happen if the dollar is disenfranchised
as the reserve currency it won’t matter. So if that happens, every American
over the age of 30 has completely pissed away 15% of your hard earned wages on
a system that is now officially out of money. You can expect nothing. EVER. I
kid you not. What’s worse is that the 401K that I have been pouring money into
is also going to be worthless. Well doesn’t that give you a nice warm fuzzy?
Trust me bedlam will ensue once reality sets in.
We as a people still have the power in our hands to stop the
insanity from happening. My liberal friends are however going to have to admit
that the government can’t do everything. It costs too much; we can’t afford to
impose proper morality on 310 Million people. Less Government in a BIG way is
the only way to save this mess. More Government spending only dooms us all.

America the Resilient
The best thing about this country is that "We The People" have an amazing track record of fixing our stupid mistakes.
- Ending Slavery took 87 years and a Civil War. But we did it.
- Ending Men only voting took 133 years with the 19th amendment. But we did it
- Ending Prohibition took 14 years and war in the streets. But we did it.

The Kindness of Strangers
38 years ago today 2 complete strangers crashed their VW into a telephone pole, jumped out and grabbed me and dragged me into the stairwell in front of St. Brigid's Catholic School. Of course the building collapsed on top of us but they saved my life and I don't know who they are and have never been able to find them. God was really smiling on me that day since when we all jumped into the stairwell I was holding the iron safety railing. I had just let go when the hi-voltage power line let go and whacked into it. Once the monster was gone, I climbed out of the rubble with a busted arm, a massive blood clot on my shoulder, multiple lacerations on my head, and my right index finger nearly cut off. So what does this future engineer do? I head over to my friends house which of course isn't there anymore. Then I think wow I am bleeding alot so I find an ambulance where the EMT is trying to stop the bleeding from some poor guy's arm which had been cut off above the elbow. I was still OK at that point until I asked the EMT if he could help me. Of course he says to me "I'M A LITTLE BUSY HERE." So I left for the hospital. This photo was taken from the hospital roof:
So to say the least the hospital was jumping. OF COURSE the overflow emergency room was the Morgue, it only makes sense. So that's where I spent the night of April 3 1974 at the ripe old age of 15. My father saved dozens of kids lives at the library that day because that's where I was supposed to be and he was there to pick me up. Lucky them. On my way to the hospital I walked past the library and saw my Father's car up in the tree. I know at this point that I must be dead because if I'm not my Father is going to kill me. After spending the night in the Morgue and getting lots of free McDonald's hamburgers to eat for dinner that night, my Dad comes and finds me about midday on the 4th. I get a hero's welcome when I get home and yet I didn't have a clue what had just happened over the last 24 hours. Again I wouldn't be typing this now if not for the kindness of two complete strangers who saved my life that day. So from a snot nosed 15 year old punk who grew up to have a full and productive life (and my first Grandson was just born Saturday). THANK YOU and may God protect you and keep you whoever you are.

Enterprise again
The recently retired Grandmother of the US Navy's nuclear carrier fleet needs to have an appropriate heir. CVN-80 is ready to launch but has not been named. "Enterprise" certainly sounds like a good name to me and if you agree sign the petition here. Please, before The ONE decides to name it for himself.

Eric Holder Just Earned His Impeachment Badge
Eric Holder has lied to Congress just one too many times, now he's busted. Holder testified on May 3rd that he had only been informed of the "Fast and Furious" illegal operation "a few weeks ago". Well in a typical Obama administration Friday night document dump, we find a couple of gems in the dirt.

- On December 14 2010 AZ U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke forwarded emails to Holder's Deputy Chief of Staff Monty Wilkinson stating that Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was shot and killed.Stating that the shooting was "not good".
- Wilkinson replied saying that the murder was "tragic" and also that “I’ve alerted the AG [Holder], the Acting DAG, Lisa, etc.” (Emphasis Mine)
- Burke also wrote later that day “The guns found in the desert near the murder BP officer connect back to the investigation we were going to talk about – they were AK-47s purchased at a Phoenix gun store,”.
- Wilkinson responded saying "I'll call you tomorrow".
